Good morning,
Today’s photo of a full moon illuminating the palm trees and a thatched beach umbrella of an unknown Caribbean beach comes to us from an unknown FB who shared this tropical scene on social media back on April 13th, 2025.
Well, it’s Tuesday, and I share this peaceful evening scene of the moon pointing its light to this unknown beach paradise because I spent most of last night burning the midnight oil trying to create a message to point others to the paradise of power they could discover in Christ alone.
Two weeks ago, during our production of the Bible Study with the Cincottis podcast episode, I Am the Resurrection, I had a few words of wisdom that I harvested for a 20-second promotional short. Upon further review, I discovered that the 20-second promo was in the middle of three and a half minutes of encouraging insights about the power of the resurrection. With the assistance of some editing tools that removed who knows how many “ums” and “ya knows”, I felt confident in sharing the audio clip but wanted to make it a video.
Unfortunately, AI doesn’t do everything for you, but I used Gemini to create a few images for the “storyboard” of my three-minute message, and I’m rather excited about my little video slide show encouragement. The finished product, “The Power of the Resurrection Has to Be Now,” has been uploaded and I invite everyone to check it out and to tell me what you think. I hope it will inspire more people to seek a deeper relationship with God and will be used by the Lord to help people to find healing and hope through the power of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The Lord brings the dead to life and sets the captives free, and I have been increasingly convicted to share this message of freedom in Christ and feel compelled by the Lord to raise my commitment and standards to give Him glory and to reach more people. When we come into a covenant relationship with God, He gives us precious promises and a whole new life, but to fully receive what He has for us, we are called to seek Him and His righteousness to find the fullness of what He has for us. We have to want the new life that God wants for us, and we have to seek the Lord to find it.
Speaking of seeking the Lord, the In Touch with Dr. Charles Stanley devotion for today addresses that topic, and I am sharing it on the blog today to encourage us all to go deeper in our efforts to know, serve, and love God. Dr. Charles Stanely writes:
“Seek God Early
Begin each morning with the Lord in His Word—this simple habit will bring more joy into your life.
Psalms 63:1-8
You’ve probably heard people say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. A similar concept applies to our heart and mind. The fuel we give them each morning greatly affects the remainder of the day.
Think of time in God’s Word, prayer, and meditation as spiritual nourishment for your relationship with the Father.
David began his day with the Lord. In Psalm 63, he described seeking God early (the literal translation of “earnestly”). Having woken up hungry for time with his Creator, he rejoiced that his soul found satisfaction with the fullness of the Lord. And David broke out in thanksgiving and praise.
Just imagine having a day like that—filled with joy and gratitude. This is possible when we begin of our day with God, listening to Him speak through His Word and then talking with Him. Seeking the Lord not only fills our empty soul; it also increases our hunger for Him.
Do you find it challenging to set apart time with the Lord each morning?
Habits begin with baby steps, not overwhelming resolutions. Start this morning (Psalm 5:3)—set aside five minutes. Be consistent and add a few minutes as you are able. You’ll be amazed by the difference it makes.- Charles Stanley
Amen. I read two other messages this morning that highlighted God being with us, and other people recognizing us as Christians because of His love that we reflect. But I chose this message because it encourages us not to just wait on the Lord but to actively seek His presence, wisdom, strength, and love with the first part of our day. If we make God our first priority and seek Him in study, prayer, thanksgiving, praise, and conversation, we receive the blessing of increasing wisdom, peace, love, joy, patience, and strength. Our investment in our relationship with God pays eternal dividends, but they are only realized by our interest.
The transformed and empowered life of faith comes to those who seek the Lord earnestly and early. When you rise early to seek the Lord and to have His work done in you, the Lord blesses you with revelation and growth of the fruit of the Spirit.
The first mammoth book I wrote (an unpublished volume of over a thousand pages highlighting the messages of a pastor who was radically transformed by a single encounter with the Lord) had a year’s worth of sermons and one singular message from me: SEEK THE LORD.
It’s the primary message that I continue to share because I know, from experience, that if you seek the Lord, you will find Him.
But you must choose to seek Him – early and often.
