Some wounds, lies, and strongholds do not move with willpower or self-discipline alone. They require the presence and power of God through prayer. If you are ready to invite the Lord into the deep places where freedom has eluded you, you are in the right place.
What Is Prayer Ministry?
Prayer ministry is one-on-one, biblically-grounded prayer work designed to help believers experience the freedom and healing Christ purchased on the cross. It is not counseling, and it is not therapy — though it complements both. It is intentional, focused prayer that invites the Lord into the specific places of pain, bondage, or confusion in a believer’s life, and trusts Him to bring truth, healing, and freedom by His Spirit.
Prayer ministry rests on a simple biblical truth: the same Jesus who walked through the gospels healing the wounded and setting captives free is the same Jesus who lives by His Spirit in every believer today. He has not changed. His work is not finished. And when we invite Him into our pain through prayer, He still meets us there.
I have personally experienced the transformation that prayer ministry brings. It is one of the reasons I do this work — because the same Lord who walked me out of nihilism, addiction, and despair is the One who continues to walk other believers out of their own strongholds, one prayer session at a time.
Who Prayer Ministry Is For
You may be a candidate for prayer ministry if you find yourself walking with the Lord but still wrestling with patterns that will not seem to break. Maybe you have:
- Longstanding emotional wounds from childhood, family, or past relationships that still shape how you live today
- Persistent lies you have believed about yourself, about God, or about your worth — lies you know are not biblically true but cannot seem to shake
- Recurring sin patterns or strongholds that have resisted prayer, accountability, and willpower
- Anxiety, fear, anger, shame, or depression that feels rooted deeper than surface circumstances
- Generational patterns in your family that you sense need to be broken at the root
- A sense that there is more freedom available in Christ than you have yet experienced
If any of that sounds like you, prayer ministry may be the next step.
Two Biblical Approaches to Prayer Ministry
Over the years, I have been trained in and continue to use two distinct, biblically grounded prayer ministry methods. Each addresses a different aspect of the believer’s walk toward freedom and healing. Depending on what you are bringing into the work, we may use one or both.
The Steps to Freedom in Christ

Developed by Dr. Neil Anderson and used worldwide through Freedom in Christ Ministries, the Steps to Freedom in Christ is a structured process that walks a believer through seven specific areas where the enemy commonly establishes strongholds — counterfeit spiritual practices, deception, unforgiveness, rebellion, pride, bondage, and generational patterns. Working through the Steps in a guided prayer session helps a believer renounce what needs to be renounced, forgive what needs to be forgiven, and stand firm in the truth of who they are in Christ.
I have been trained through Freedom in Christ Ministries’ Community Freedom Ministry University (CFMU) and their Advanced Encourager Training, and have led many believers through the Steps. This is the foundational approach for clients dealing with deep-rooted strongholds and pursuing a comprehensive freedom encounter.
Immanuel / R.E.A.L. Prayer
Immanuel Prayer — sometimes called R.E.A.L. Prayer in Deeper Walk International’s framework — is a method of inviting the presence of Jesus directly into emotional wounds and painful memories. Rather than analyzing or processing the pain alone, the believer is guided to invite Jesus into the memory or feeling itself, and to receive whatever truth, comfort, or healing He brings. It is a quiet, contemplative practice that has helped thousands of believers experience the kind of healing that no amount of self-effort can produce.
I am a Deeper Walk Certified Prayer Minister, trained through Deeper Walk International’s School of Prayer Ministry. Immanuel Prayer is the approach I use for clients seeking emotional and spiritual healing from specific wounds, lies, or painful memories.
Immanuel Prayer requires faith and patience. Healing is the work of the Holy Spirit, not the work of the prayer minister. While these prayer methods have helped thousands of believers experience real freedom and healing, individual results are not guaranteed.
What to Expect in a Prayer Ministry Session
All prayer ministry sessions are conducted online via Zoom from the comfort of your own private space. (In-person sessions may be possible by special arrangement — please ask if this is important to you.)
A typical Immanuel / R.E.A.L. Prayer session is approximately 90 minutes. We begin with conversation to understand what you are bringing into the session — the wound, the lie, the memory, or the area of struggle you want to address. From there, I guide you through the prayer process, inviting the Lord into the specific area we have identified, and listening together for what He brings. The session ends with reflection, integration, and prayer.
A full Freedom Appointment (Steps to Freedom in Christ) is significantly longer — typically 3 to 5 hours in a single guided session — and is bundled inside a longer discipleship package that includes weekly preparation sessions and follow-up. See the Freedom Appointment Package below for full details.
Every session is covered in prayer before, during, and after. Everything you share with me is held in strict confidence. There is no judgment, no rush, and no script — only the work of inviting the Lord into the places where you need Him most.
